CAPH BUILDING STUDIO

This house is required to feel a balance between a first home and a second home, located in the coldest place of Karnataka.  Mr. Kulkarni works in Mumbai as a builder for a reputed developer residing here for a long. Now he is willing to shift to Bidar and work from here. His native place! From here, he would need to often travel to other cities for work. Our question to design was – what value relates most to one's native place? Local climate! Our client answered. Here, its local climate was our central design tool. We understand that 'climate' is a tool for energy efficiency. Moreover, here, we now learn that climate is a nostalgic value to feel a sense of place.
